South Devon Epic Adventure 2 night Sea Kayak Camping Trip 12th/13th/14th July

Aveton Gifford to Brixham, 80km Intermediate to Advanced peer paddle taking in exposed headlands and coastline, possible surf launching/landing with overnight beach camping.

An epic trip taking in South Devons most spectacular coastline. Due to the exposed headlands, swell and tide this trip is a peer paddle for Intermediate to advanced paddlers. Each member of the team will need to be self-sufficient in terms of light weight camping equipment, food, cooking and drinking water.

Itinerary.

Day 1. (24Km) Launch Aveton Gifford paddle down Avon to Bantham. Turn right exploring coastline towards Mothecombe and Wembury. Over night Beach Camp.

Day 2. (27km) Paddle to Hope Cove and round Bolt Tail and Bolt Head exploring the exposed coastline. Round Prawle Point at Slack water and overnight beach camp before Start Point.

Day 3. (22-36 km) Early start to catch slack water at Start Point (crux of trip) Breakfast on beach. Explore coastline Slapton Sands to Kingswear. End trip at Kingswear or continue to Brixham.
